GIVING to our CHURCH

‘Give and you will receive.’  – Luke 6.38.

WHAT DO WE ACHIEVE THROUGH YOUR GIFTS?

Our Worship and our Building: Our recently renovated church is a place where we gather to worship regularly, and to which many people come in times of great sorrow or great joy.

Pastoral Care: We seek to provide pastoral care and support to all who seek it. Led by our chaplain, a growing number of people of all ages are learning and committing to accompanying those who are vulnerable through bereavement, illness, loneliness or any other cause.

Christian Nurture and Discipleship: Our church provides opportunities for individuals of all ages to explore and deepen their Christian faith from Baptism and preparation for First Communion or Confirmation to Bible study groups and lay discipleship training.

Youth Work: Through youth-based worship and social activities, our church helps children and their families to develop a link between their faith and their everyday lives.

Music: Music, with its ability to touch our deepest senses, is one of God’s channels to draw people to himself both as musicians and listeners. Our organists and our choirs, covering many different styles and ages, draw people into the church, help them to find or deepen their faith and build community.

Outreach: Our church’s monthly outreach at the Jardin de Montbrillant, provides a hot lunch to close to 250 people vulnerable to hunger. Church volunteers also join days organised by Partage to collect food donations and participate in other community outreach activities.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR GIFTS?

Over 80%, of the church’s finances comes from your donations.

Without your support we would no longer exist.

If you:

  • don’t give at all, please start!
  • don’t give regularly, please think of doing so – a monthly pledge is a good way!
  • are giving regularly, please consider increasing the amount. Even a small increase matters in the life of the church!
  • haven’t thought of leaving something to the church in your Will, think whether you might make a legacy gift.

To all of you, we are enormously grateful for, and conscious of, your generosity, not just with money but with your time and talents.

All donations to the church are treated in strictest confidence. Information on individual giving is only shared with our Stewardship Coordinator, Ursula McGregor and Treasurer, Michael Gunton.

Whether you feel able to give or not, you are always welcome in this house of God.

HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?

In Church:  through cash, contactless or chip & pin – machines available from Sidespeople or Wardens; and using the QR code or direct payment details in the service sheet.

At home: through a regular standing order to the bank or by bank transfer – details below, using the QR code on service sheets or the website and using the TWINT link on service sheets.

We encourage you to also consider a regular pledge. Pledging allows us to plan effectively for expenses and can be geared to your needs and preferences.
