Newly married I came to Geneva in 1962 when my husband, Mike, accepted a 3 year contract to work at CERN. As committed Christians we joined Holy Trinity Church the day after we arrived and soon became active members. For some years working at the World Council of Churches (WCC) and family commitments I confined my role mainly to supporting my husband wholeheartedly in his church duties especially when he served for 10 years as Chaplain’s Warden. As my family commitments lessened I held many posts in the church and still do. At present I am the sacristan, a member of the social group and pastoral care committees as we as an elected member of the Council. I have also served as an Archdeaconry Synod Representative. During my time at HTC I have worked and collaborated with 9 chaplains and kept up with numerous past members of the WCC and HTC living throughout the entire world. IN 2022 when the Diocese of Europe and Sodor and Man were invited, for the first time ever, to take part in the Maundy Thursday Ceremony in Westminster Abbey I was honoured to be chosen as the Holy Trinity Church recipient of the Maundy Thursday Money distributed by Queen Elizabeth II.
