Ascension day marks the start of the ‘global wave of prayer’, launched initially by the Archbishop of Canterbury and encouraged by both our bishops. ‘THY KINGDOM COME’ 21 -31 May. This calls for all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ. You can find out how to join as an individual or as a family with the help of many resources at https://www.thykingdomcome.global/
Please also pray for the ‘Faith in Every day Life’ initiative in the Archdeaconry, which started with a joint meeting of lay and clergy this week, led by the UK Programme Director. Our representatives are Armel, Carol Brown, Mary Talbot and will be joined by our chaplain when we have one. As mentioned on Sunday, if you have particular prayer requests for things that are happening in your life or those around you, or would like to pray or discuss these with someone, do let us know. Christine, Mary, Julia and others whom you know are all available.
