We are delighted to inform you that the Revd. Canon Dr Daphne Green has agreed to accept the position as our Chaplain and is planning to arrive immediately after Easter during the week of 5th April.
Canon Daphne is currently the Chaplain & Researcher to the Archbishop of York and brings with her a wealth of experience, both from that position and from previous posts both within the church and outside.
‘I am delighted and honoured to have this opportunity to serve as chaplain at Holy Trinity Church in Geneva and I am very much looking forward to meeting you all. Just to let you know a little more about my background – I have worked for the previous Archbishop of York, John Sentamu and the current Archbishop, Stephen Cottrell for twelve years and before that, I was a parish priest in the city of Leeds and a university chaplain. Prior to ordination, I worked in both in theological and English Language teaching publishing and later in marketing and consultancy. I have a strong interest in the World Church and am currently a trustee and Vice Chair of USPG – United Society for Partners in the Gospel which works with partner churches across the Anglican Communion.
It will be wonderful to join you in April and until then I pray that God may bless you richly in all that you are doing in His Name’.
