Our choir performs for the Archbishop of Canterbury

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) in Geneva on 16 February WCC to celebrate its 70th anniversary.  Clare Amos who was involved in coordinating this event arranged for HTC choir to sing during the service where the Archbishop spoke on an “ecumenism of action”.  Our choir (with support from members of Emmanuel) sang a setting of the Magnificat by Batten, and a Lenten anthem by Purcell: Remember not, Lord, our offences (which was also sung at Ash Wednesday here at church).
