HOLY TRINITY ANGLICAN CHURCH, GENEVA, has a part-time vacancy (16 hours per week) for an Administrator/Secretary with effect from 1 June 2019 or earliest date thereafter.
Applicants must be Swiss or EU nationals or have a valid work permit for Geneva. Fluency both spoken and written in English and French is also an essential requirement.
Responsibilities are broad and varied, ranging from acting as a point of contact for people from within the church and outside; preparation of documentation to support worship; organising rotas of people to assist with worship; assisting with communications and publicity; handling bookings for the church and hall; updating the website; liaising with technicians involved in maintaining the building and for events; assisting with administration concerning employees, contact with relevant authorities; handling correspondence and maintaining records; maintaining office and some building supplies.
Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate and to be a point of welcome both over the telephone and in the office for many and varied people, to remain calm and polite under stress. Candidates need to be self-motivated, proactive and capable of establishing priorities to manage a varied workload effectively. He or she will need good organisational, administrative and secretarial skills, together with the knowledge or ability to use desk-publishing and formatting tools.
