Trinity Sunday was Gift Day – our opportunity to express our generosity in response to God’s gifts to us.
On June 11 we celebrated our Feast of Title – Trinity Sunday is our day to commemorate the name of our church. It’s also an important moment for us to pause and consider our mission in this city of Geneva.
We worship here, we sing here, we socialise here. We seek to be Good News to the community in which we are set and to help people of all ages find inspiration and intelligent engagement with the risen Christ. But what we do requires a great deal of financial support – CHF 1000 for each day of the year.
Many of you already give towards this challenging sum by the pledged giving scheme, and the Church Council and I are extremely grateful to you for this. If you would like to consider joining the scheme or take this opportunity to review what you already give, please contact Ursula McGregor (telephone 022 342 32 27 or e-mail email@example.com) in complete confidence. There are also forms at the back of church or on the website. There are potential tax advantages available through our charitable status with which we shall be pleased to assist you.
Trinity Sunday is Gift Day and offers another way for us to express our response to God’s gifts. Special envelopes for this purpose, as well as “bulletins de versement” will be available in church – or on request – and all contributions will be welcomed via the regular collections in church or directly via a transfer to the Church’s account – here are the details:
Bank Raiffeisen de la Versoix – 1290 Versoix IBAN: CH73 8021 5000 0006 8881 6 SWIFT Code; RAIFCH 22215
It is not too late to consider giving.
Thank you for your time in reading this note, which comes with my love and blessing,
Yours sincerely in Christ,
The Reverend Canon Alexander GORDON,
Chaplain of Holy Trinity Church Geneva
Holy Trinity Church, Geneva
